Joint Christmas Eve Service

The time leading up to the celebration of Christ’s birth is filled with immense joy and significance. Our Christmas Eve service was truly a blessing, and being a part of it was such a meaningful experience. The room was alive with voices lifted in praise to our Savior, creating a beautiful atmosphere of worship. While different churches may have unique traditions for their Christmas Eve services, our worship leaders and pastors work hard to create a service that honors both of our church communities. We conclude our service with the lighting of candles, followed by our final song, symbolizing the light that Jesus brought into the world through His birth. As we sing, our hearts and minds are united, focusing on the truth of the gospel as one body of believers.—Jessica Cogsdil

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

My favorite time of year is Christmas time. By none. Fight me. LOL.

And my favorite time to worship with God’s people is over the Advent season, with the Christmas Eve Candle Light Gathering being the ‘creme de la creme.’

Both Crossroads and Mosaic came together for this Gathering and it was awesome. The place was packed, the Spirit was blessing us, the people were energetic, the King was worshipped, and the Father was blessed.

Just like it’s supposed to be on Christmas Eve.

I stood at the door and greeted people as they walked in and walked out. I was dressed in a suit (my mom always told me to wear a suit on Christmas and Easter….so I do, and will). Many of the people I shook hands with I didn’t know (from Crossroads) and I just kept thinking to myself “I wonder what it may be like one day to serve them in ONE church?” My mind was racing about the future. That’s what Christmas does, doesn’t it? Jesus comes to die. To prepare us for the future. To point us to something greater.

And as Crossroads and Mosaic stood up, holding candles, singing Silent Night, I couldn’t help but think of what our future might be like.

Together.

It was the most wonderful time of the year. For God was with us!—Stephen Hammond
